So What Do You Make?

I had the great pleasure of seeing the poet Taylor Mali perform a poem at a private fundraiser associated with the Wordstock Book Festival last year. Tim Boyle, the owner of Columbia Sportweare donated $5,000 for the poem and it was worth every penny.

I was just poking around on YouTube and came across a different poem for teachers and anyone else who's ever tried to make a difference.
Check it out at:

Although I have never seen Taylor Mali, I did come across this video before and it is one of the most impressive things I've seen or heard about how one person in the world can make a difference and explain their worth and success not on monetary means as most people judge success.

Very powerful stuff, Eric Smith

Hi Eric,

I had the great pleasure of seeing Taylor do a poetry slam with Shane Koyczan last November as part of the Wordstock Book Festival here in Portland. It was great. If you haven't heard of Shane, check him out. He's got a bunch of videos on YouTube.
